M3U / XTREAM CODES / ANDROID TV

Your M3U or Xtream login. A better player around it.

TellyboxTV does not sell a playlist. It gives the provider connection you already have a cleaner home: a proper programme guide, a channel list you can organise and one account across your phone and TV.

Use an authorised provider you already have. No playlist or content is included.

M3U or Xtream: what is the difference?

M3U is a playlist format. Your provider gives you a link or file that lists channels and streams. It is simple, but the amount of guide and on-demand data depends on what the provider includes.

Xtream Codes uses a server address, username and password. It usually returns live categories, guide data, films and series in a more structured way. TellyboxTV supports both, so you can use whatever your provider gives you.

M3U link

Best when your provider gives you a single playlist URL. Paste it, allow HTTP only if you understand the risk, and let the app check it before saving.

Xtream login

Best when your provider supplies a server, username and password. It can bring through live TV, guide data, films and series together.

Your own provider

Nothing is bundled. Your provider account, connection limit and terms still apply. TellyboxTV is the player, not the source.

How setup works

  1. Create your account.

Verify your email and choose a password. Solo is free with one registered device and no ads. Save your recovery key when the app asks for it.

  2. Add your provider.

Paste an M3U link, or enter the server address, username and password for Xtream. Use the connection check before saving.

  3. Organise the noise.

Hide categories you never watch, group duplicate sources and put favourites first. Channel management is part of the main experience, not an afterthought.

  4. Link your TV.

Install the TV app, then link it from your signed-in phone. Your account and device allowance are shared.

Built to keep provider details out of the way.

Provider details are encrypted in the browser before they are saved to your account. The service stores the encrypted document; it does not need a plaintext provider password for normal account use. The optional TellyRelay is different because it has to use the credentials to relay a stream you ask for, and it runs in an isolated engine.

No system can promise perfect security on a compromised device. Keep your account password and recovery key private, and use a provider you trust.

M3U and Xtream questions

What is the difference between M3U and Xtream Codes?

An M3U link is a playlist file or URL. Xtream Codes uses a server address, username and password, and usually provides guide and VOD data. TellyboxTV accepts either.

Where do I find my M3U link?

Your provider supplies it. Look for a playlist URL or M3U download link in your provider account or welcome email. Do not use a link from someone else.

Are my provider details encrypted?

Provider details are encrypted in the browser before they are saved. The account service stores the encrypted document, not a plaintext provider password.

Why does my playlist fail the connection check?

Common causes are an expired link, the wrong username or password, a provider connection limit, or an address that is not reachable from your network. Check the details with your provider first.

Bring your playlist. Leave the clutter behind.
