01 / PHONE

Android phone or tablet

Download phone alpha

  1. Download and open the file.

    Tap the button on your Android phone. When the download finishes, open it from your browser's downloads or the Files app.

  2. Allow this installation.

    If Android asks, open Settings and allow your browser or Files app to install this download. Go back, choose Install, then Open. You can turn that permission off afterwards.

  3. Create your free account.

    Choose Create a free account, enter your email and verify the code. Then choose a password, save your recovery key and set up your provider. Solo is free with one device and no ads.

  4. Make it yours.

    Choose your password, save your recovery key, then paste your provider link or enter its details. TellyboxTV checks the connection before saving it privately.

Already have an account? Choose Sign in. If your vault already exists, have your recovery key ready, or link from another device. Android 8 or later is required.

Android TV or Google TV

Have your phone ready. Your plan controls device slots: Solo 1, Duo up to 2, Family up to 5.

Install from your phone

Phone and TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi. This experimental option works on compatible Android TVs.

  1. Turn on TV debugging.

    On the TV, open Settings and enable Developer options. Open Wireless debugging and choose to pair with a pairing code. Menus vary by TV.

  2. Find your TV.

    On your phone, open TellyboxTV > Settings > App > Install on a TV, then choose Find a TV. Select your TV and enter the code shown on its pairing screen. If asked, enter the connection port shown on the TV. Some older TVs instead ask you to approve the connection on the TV.

  3. Install and link.

    Let the phone install the latest TV app. If the TV asks for approval, accept it there. Open TellyboxTV on the TV, then use Settings > Link a TV or phone on your signed-in phone to link your account. Turn debugging off afterwards.

Can't find your TV? Install with Downloader instead

  1. Get Downloader on your TV.

    Open the TV's Play Store and install Downloader by AFTVnews.

  2. Download the TV app.

    Enter this address in Downloader and choose Go:

    app.tellyboxapp.com/tv

  3. Install and link.

    If Android asks, allow Downloader to install apps, then return and select Install. Open TellyboxTV and link the TV from your signed-in phone. You can turn the installation permission off afterwards.

For Android TV and Google TV. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS need a compatible Android TV device connected by HDMI.

Download the TV APK directly

Updates are handled in the app.

Both apps check for new versions and guide you through installing the update. Keep the existing app installed so your device link and settings stay in place.

What you need before you start

You do not need a TellyboxTV subscription to install the app. You do need an Android phone or an Android TV device, an email address you can access, and your own authorised IPTV provider details. TellyboxTV does not supply a playlist, provider account or any channels.

Common installation problems

If the download will not open, check that your browser or Downloader is allowed to install unknown apps. If the TV cannot be found from your phone, use the Downloader method instead. If the app opens but cannot connect to your provider, check the provider address, your connection limit and whether the provider requires HTTP; only enable HTTP when you understand the risk.
